History
D&B Duo was formed in 2006 by pianists Dubravka Vukalović and Bruno Vlahek under the chamber music department of the Lausanne Conservatory mentored by Swedish pianist and teacher Dag Achatz. Their very first concert in Lausanne, in which they performed Rachmaninov and Bernstein, drew the attention of Swiss audiences, critics and concert organizers, and the duo was soon afterwards invited to perform in Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Croatia, China, and elsewhere. They were the first Croatian artists to perform Olivier Messiaen's monumental cycle Visions de l'Amen, which they played for the 50th anniversary of the Zagreb Music Biennale in 2011. Their repertoire includes original works for two pianos as well as arrangements of compositions from different genres that were originally written for other instrumental ensembles.
