Ensemble 20/21 was born from the desire of a group of musicians to approach the languages and more contemporary aesthetic to the challenge and development as musicians and the need to conduct new repertoires. Their initial training, part of the musicians João Pedro Fonseca (flute), Oscar Viana (oboe), Nuno Antunes (clarinet), Sergio Ventura (bassoon), Filipe Coelho (trumpet), José Correia (horn), António Santos (trombone ) and Miguel Leiria (Bass). Today the group has over eight elements while maintaining flexibility in its constitution so that it can adapt to the repertoires. This project comes at a time when it is necessary to monitor the increasing number of farmers, reducing the disparity between them and the number of instrumental groups in our country, otherwise we run the risk that we are wasting the existing creative resources and in this area mortgaging the country's future.
