Symphonic orchestra Domžale - Kamnik arose in autumn 1971 by the merger salon orchestra of the Institute for Music Education Domžale and Kamnik Chamber Orchestra. Conductor of both the orchestra was Tomaž Habe, who taught violin at the Music School Domžale, one year in Kamnik. During this time, he was director of two music schools Stane Habe. Orchestra are already working closely and to exchange instrumentalists. Cooperation between the two municipalities in the music industry is also supported Bozo Matičič, amateur musician and former president of the Socialist Alliance of Working People in Kamnik.
