The ensemble " Terpnon " engaged in the research , study and dissemination of the art music of Istanbul, during the Ottoman period . Inspired by the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the court of the Sultan , was initiated in the musical tradition of the Mevlevi dervishes and emerges in " orthodox mysticism " of patriarchal chanters .
