Together with her husband, the jazz pianist Elias Meiri, Timna Brauer founded the Brauer and Meiri Ensemble. They thus won the international jazz competition in Paris-la-Defense and produced - amongst others – for the ORF their own fantasy show “Open Sesame”.
History

In 1995 they directed the revue Hava Nagila with 40 artists from Israel for the Establishment Ronacher.

In 1998 the cooperation between an Arabian and an Israeli choir for „Voices for Peace“ started with tours in Europe, a TV film and a CD.

Awards

In 2004 the award ceremony of the "Globart Innovation Award" was held at the "Haus der Industrie" for the project "Voices for Peace".

On May 27th, 2005 Timna Brauer and Elias Meiri were given the Thies-Knauf culture award for music for their initiative „Voices for Peace“ and their cultural contribution to the promotion of peace, reconciliation and tolerance by the Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer.
